About us
Puente Neuropsychology Institute (PNI) is a father-and-son practice built on a shared commitment to clinical excellence, personalized care, and meaningful patient relationships. Combining decades of experience across academic medicine and private practice, we provide thoughtful, evidence-based neuropsychological services that clarify diagnosis, guide treatment, and support meaningful change.
Our work is grounded in the belief that high-quality neuropsychology requires both scientific rigor and a deeply human approach. Each evaluation is individually tailored, integrating clinical history and test results to produce clear, actionable recommendations. We aim not only to understand cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, but also to translate that understanding into practical next steps for patients, families, and referring providers.
As a family-founded practice, PNI reflects a unique blend of experience and perspective. The father–son partnership brings together established clinical expertise and a contemporary, forward-looking approach to care, creating a collaborative environment that values precision, curiosity, and continuous learning. This generational continuity allows us to offer both depth and adaptability in how we approach each case.
Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, we are proud to serve individuals and families across the coastal region. We work with children, adolescents, and adults across a wide range of referral questions, including attention and learning concerns, neurodevelopmental conditions, brain injury, dementias, and other cognitive changes.
At PNI, our mission is to provide clarity and direction, to improve everyday life. We look forward to meeting and working with you.
